The Explorer story began in the early 1950s, when early versions of the watches were worn on the Everest expedition and has remained uninterrupted in the Rolex catalogue ever since.
The case is really strong all round, with thick lugs. The Mk3 matte dial features snow white original tritium lume on the iconic painted 3-6-9 numerals and is in flawless condition.
The hands are a nice match with the dial. The watch is fitted with a solid-link Oyster bracelet reference 78360 in superb condition with a clasp stamped ‘L 10’ and reference 580 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
