The custom-molded silicone base is intended for users who prefer a more muted sound signature or a simpler assembly process. It is secured to the bottom case, making contact with the bottom of the PCB, and enables the stack mount system. 

8x Flat Head Cap Screws are included in order to secure the internal dampener to the inside of the bottom case.
